Let us learn some simple words and then use them in sentences
In Sanskrit, मम means my. To introduce yourself, you would say मम नाम [your name] e.g. मम नाम संजयः
To ask the other person his name, you would ask him भवतः नाम किम्?
If you are asking a girl or woman, you should say भवत्याः नाम किम्?

भवतः (masculine) and भवत्याः (feminine) mean your. नाम means name.
And you may have guessed by now that किम् means what.
Let us see some simple sentences in Sanskrit and what they mean.
Even if you do not understand some words, do not worry. We will cover them in detail in subsequent chapters.
